Sydney’s Alarming Total (Received July 22, 10.35 p.m.) Sydney, July 22. The Sydney traffic superintendent, Inspector Stanton, describes 'as alarming the car and road accidents for the six months to June 30, ’which total 272 killed and 4222 hurt. Compared with the same period last year the deaths were 14 fewer, but the injured were 925 greater. Throughout New South Wales, he said, the traffic records proved that eighty per cent, of the fatalities were caused by excessive speed.
