Perhaps when the next war conies "School Tie” will ateo “feel P alu ant "shed blood" ; no doubt he will also find it “a great thrill,” "real sport” and "excellent entertainment when he LeUs a bullet ploughing through his own vitals. But I doubt if "School lie will ever have that experience, because 1 Lor cue do not think he has any of the "fine tuau.y spirit” he likes to write about. —1 am, ytC ” CLAY PIGEON. Sir —ln reply to "School Tie,” I would like to point out that there are numerous, sportsmen in New Zealand whose pleasure it is to hunt wild pig and similar game, not without personal risk, but who deplore the “tame” sport of shooting birds and would scorn to even attend such an event. However, one can only assume that these so-called “sportsmen” with the “heman” courage are in the minority, and that they have the raw youth, school-tie complex.—l am, etc., G. SCOTT.
