Mr. Nash’s American Visit THE “FLYING MINISTER” New York, July 17. The New Zealand Minister of Finance. Mr. W. Nosh, is earning the title of "the flying Minister.” Within 36 hours he Hew to Pittsburg from ■Washington, returned to Washington, and flew to New York. The Australian Associated Press agency says Mr. Nash is very satisfied with the discussions he has had, and considers that a complete air service between America trad New’ Zealand "’ill be achieved within a reasonable time. He also believes That the difficulties of a trade agreement between Canada and New Zealand have been eliminated, and says that satisfactory conclusions have been reached. Mr. Nash is amazed at the interest in the United States in New Zealand’s programme. "The Secretary of State, Mr. Cordell Hull, told me',” he said, "that the Administration is closely watching our results. 1 am confident that President Roosevelt will visit New Zealand immediately he relinquishes Hie Presidency.” Mr. Nash is discussing trade between America and New Zealand while in New York, especially in relation to fruit and butter.
He leaves for Balboa on Sundav, via Kingston, and will sail by the Matarba on July 23, after discussing trade between New Zealand and Panama.
