Ministerial. The Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, returned to Wellington from the South Island on Saturday morning. The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, who is at present in Australia, has' advised the ActingPrime Minister, Hon. P. Fraser, that he had a good voyage from Wellington to Sydney and that his health has improved considerably. Mr. Semple intends to leave for the Western districts to-day. Mr. Fraser has replied to Mr. Semple’s cable message expressing pleasure at Mr, Semple’s improvement in health. Dr. E. Marsden, secretary to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, arrived at Wellington on Saturday by steamer express from the south. Mr. A. E. Mabin, a director of Levin and Co., and his two sons, Messrs. Eric and Maurice Malbin, who have been on the round trip to Singapore on the Dutch liner Maetsuycker, arrived back art Wellington yesterday. The Rev. A. ,L. Silcock, Wellington, is visiting New Plymouth. Mr. St. C. Ferguson, Dunedin, returned south on Saturday night. Captain W. A. Gray arrived at Wellington on Saturday from Christchurch. Mr. M. J. Reardon, Conciliation Commissioner, left Wellington by the Nelson steamer on Saturday night. Mr. C. M. Howard, shipping manager of Johnston and Co., Ltd., will leave for Sydney to-day by the Maetsuycker. Major-General J. E. Duigan, general officer commanding the New Zealand Military Forces, returned to Wellington on Saturday from Auckland. Mr. W. N. Norwood, general manager of Dominion Motors, Ltd., who has been on a business visit to Auckland, returned to Wellington on Saturday. Colonel and Mrs. F. Burton, of the Salvation Army, arrived at Wellington on Saturday from the South Island by the steamer express. I Sir. F. Milner, headmaster of Waitaki Boys’ High Schoo], arrived in Wellington on Saturday by the interisland steamer service. Mr. R. J. Grimshaw, a retired naval constructor, with Mrs. Grimshaw and their two sons, arrived from England by the Arawar to settle in Auckland. A third son, Mr. J. K. Grimshaw, is farming in the Auckland district. Mr. F. Scott Miller, travelling repair superintendent of the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, Ltd., returned to 'Wellington from Auckland by the Limited express on Saturday.
