AMERICAN KIDNAPPING
New York, July 16. A message from Allen (Oklahoma) .says that three armed bandits, Peter Rexler, Fred Tintlol and Charlie Chapman, who escaped from a Texas prison on July 8, kidnapped Baird Markham, Jun., aged 21, son of a wealthy oil man from Wells, where he was working on a vacation from Yale. He was forced info a stolen motor-car and held for hostage. Posses are guarding and searching roads throughout the State. A later message states that Markham wa.s released unharmed.
