FIRE ALARM WANTED

Request From Ohiro Bay On behalf of the Ohiro Bay Ratepayers’ Association, Mr. A. P. Wylie recently wrote to the Wellington Fire Board stating that an assurance was given the association last year that the district was to be linked up with the fire alarm system, and seeking information as to when Ohiro Bay would be given an alarm point. The board’s reply stated: “Following completion of the new Central Fire Station and finalisation of finance therewith and installation of a new and larger fire alarm equipment, attention will be given to revision of the whole city system ami extension as the board is enabled, when your request on behalf of your association will be given every consideration.’’
