ORPHANAGE STREET DAY
A very successful street day in aid of St. Joseph’,s Orphanage was held at Lower Hutt yesterday. In .spite of unpleasant weather excellent business was done. Almost all produce, cakes and sweets on the Stall were sold, and the strjeet collectors hlso met with good success. The committee was as follows:—Mesdatnes Forster (convener), J. Batts, N. O Shea, W. Fuljer, M. Nolan, Weberley. Rodgers, Parker, Morice, Shanley, Misses M. Guthrie, M. Redmond, J. Fauvell, C. Shanley and pupils of the Sacred Heart Convent.
