The Federal Company Las received a wireless message from the Northumberland, eu route from Newport, reporting that she expects to reach Auckland at 4 p.m. on July 21 She will later complete discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Pieton. and is due here on July 28. MAUNGANUI LEAVES SYDNEY. The Union Company’s Maunganui left Sydney yesterday for Wellington. She 1# due here next Tuesday morning and will leave again on July 23 on the return trip to Sydney. MATUA’S PASSENGERS. When the Union Company’s motor-ship Matua reached Auckland last Wednesday from Suva she had the following passengers:— Mrs. L. M. Allen. Captain F. K. Allen, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. V. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cabled advice that the M.-A.-N.Z. Line steamer Canadian Cruiser, en route from Port Alfred to Auckland, cleared Balboa last Wednesday morning. She Is due at Auckland on August 6. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain A. H. Prosser has taken command of the Matua after holiday leave, vice .Captain W. Whitefield, who Is .resuming command of the Waipiata, relieving Captain W. A. Gray for orders. Captain J. E. Warwick has taken command of the Talune, relieving Captain J. Bruce for private leave. PORT BOWEN DELAYED. Delayed by rain at Wellington, the Port Line steamer Port Bowen is now to leave here on Monday for Sydney. ; ARAWA AT AUCKLAND. I From London and Southampton, via the Panama Canal, the Shaw, Savill liner Arawa reached Auckland yesterday afternoon. She is due at Wellington on July 23 to complete discharge aud to commence her Homeward loading. WAIPAIVA SAILS. Having completed her Homeward loading, the Shaw, Savill motor-ship Waipawa left Auckland last night for London, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas,
WAITAKI LEAVES MELBOURNE. The Union Company has received cabled advice that the Waitaki left Melbourne on Thursday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and WeUington. She is due at Bluff next Tuesday and here on July 23. From here she will return via Bluff to Melbourne. The Waitaki has, for southern, ports, transhipments ex Orama, Comorin, Jervis Bay, Esquillno, Nirvana, Tudor and Tisnaven.
MATANGI FOR NELSON. The Nelson ferry steamer Matangi win leave -Wellington at 9 p.m. to-day for Nelson instead of at 7.30 p.m.
HUNTINGDON DELAYED. Delayed at Napier yesterday by bad weather, the Federal steamer Huntingdon Is now due at Wellington next Tuesday to continue her Homeward loading. She will now leave here next Thursday for Lyttelton to fill up, and Is scheduled to clear that port finally on July 24 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Cape Horn and Montevideo.
CANADIAN CHALLENGER TO-DAY. To continue her loading to the agency of the Port Line, the M.-A.-N.Z. Line steamer Canadian Challenger is due at Wellington about noon to-day trom Lyttelton and will berth at the Glasgow Wharf. She Is to leave here again next Tuesday for Auckland to fill up and will clear that port finally about July 23 for New York, Boston and Montreal.
BRISBANE MARU DUE TO-DAY. Delaved bv bad weather, the O-S.K. Line motor-ship Brisbane Maru is now expected at Wellington some time this morning from Auckland, and will berth at the Plpltea Wharf to discharge Japanese aud to load for Japan She will later complete at Dunedin and Lyttelton. me Federal Company are the agents.
KAIWAKKA OFF THE DOCK. The Union Company’s Kaiwarra. which has been on the floating dock for overhaul and survey, came off yesterday noon and berthed at the Clyde Quay W hart. She is to leave here to-day for Newcastle.
NEW YORK SAILINGS. The Federal Company advise that the following A. and A. Line been fixed from New York:—City of winchester on August 23, Westmoreland on September 16, and City of Manila on October S, all for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.
PORT HOB.VRT FROM NEW YORK. The Port Line advises that it-s motorship Port Hobart, which has been hxed to leave New York on October 30 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, will now discharge also at New Plymouth.
