DAMAGES AWARDED

Sequel to Collision By Telegraph—Press Association. Greyinoutli, July 16. Damages totalling £62/8/3 were awarded by Mr. R. Ferner, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court to-day in a claim for £214/16/6 by Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Anderson against IV. G. Frost, motordealer. The claim arose from a collision between a car and a truck on a one-way traffic bridge. The magistrate held that the driver of defendant's truck was negligent and said: “As a bare proposition I would say that any truckdriver who ventures on a one-way bridge when a car or other vehicle is on such a bridge is guilty of negligence.”
