Coronation Honours List.—A list of 37 names of those connected with New Zealand who have been included in the honours conferred by His Majesty King George VI on the occasion of his Coronation is published elsewhere in this issue. Above are some of the principal recipients.
Au Unusual Decoration.— This massive representation of a crown has been erected on the roof of one of the tall buildings in Customhouse Quay, Wellington. Built on a base 14 feet 6 inches square, and 22 feet in height, it will be fitted with nearly 900 electric globes beside a number of white strip lights. From its commanding position at the edge of the waterfront it will be visible for many miles when lighted up.
