Sensational Beginning and Ending By Telegraph—Press Assoe-ation Auckland, May 10: A professional wrestling contest between Lofty Blomfield, Auckland, and John Spellman, America, provided one of the most sensational openings anil endings seen in Auckland. The result was a draw, each man scoring a fall. The first gong had just sounded when the men walked briskly- to the centre of the ring. Blomfield brought up his right arm and connected with., the American’s jaw heavily enough to lift Spellman off his feet and lay him on the mat. Blomfield lost no .time in pouncing upon his man to gain a fall with a press. The American thrilled the crowd in the final round with a series of fast flying tackles which hurled Blomfield to the mat, and he had no difficulty in equalising the falls. -
