SONS OF TEMPERANCE
— — Advance Division No. 6, Sons of Tomperance, met recently in the Foresters’ Hall, Vivian Street, Wellington. Brother A. Gamon, W.P., presided. Sister A. Vardey wins elected worthy associate, and Bro. G. Westbk’ooke emnduetor. Bro. Parsons, AI.W. chaplain, installed the two officers. Sister Devereux, who represented the lodge at the. national division meeting, held in Kangiora at Easter, gave an interesting report showing the progress made during the year. She pointed out that the division would now pay 25/- instead of £1 a week sick pay for the first six months, to male members. and 12/t> instead of 10/- to females, find £5O and £25 death allowance, instead of £lO and £2O respectively.
