DAIRY COMPANIES
Reorganisation Plans In Canterbury By Telegraph—Press Association Christchurch, May 10. Sweeping changes are expected in Canterbury within the next few weeks in the organisation of dairy companies throughout the province. If present plans come to fruition, several proprietary concerns are to be absorbed by co-operative companies following the lead established inn the north, where the Waikato Valley Dairy Company was taken over by the Waikato cooperative companies. Negotiations are at a delicate stage, and it may be a month before they are completed. One proprietary company concerned is the Kiwi Dairy Company with headquarters at Christchurch. and reorganisation of the Cam Dairy Company’s interests are also understood to be involved in the general changes. Two other Canterbury companies come within the scope of the negotiations.
