ARCHBISHOP OF HOBART
Dr. J. D. Simons Consecrated Sydney, May 7. The Rev. Dr. Julian D. Simonds was consecrated Roman Catholic Archbishop of Hobart in St. Mary’s Cathedral. Dr. Simonds is the first Australianborn priest to be made an archbishop, and succeeds the late Archbishop William Hayden.
