♦ Gesture Of Friendship To Social Worker A radiant sheaf of daffodils, which had adorned a Royal drawing-room, gleamed on e night recently under the lights of a room shared by some of the poorest women in London. | They were a gift from Queen Mary, and the giving was a spontaneous ges- | tore of friendship toward a woman I who has devoted a lifetime to the care of the poor.
