(Bert) Turner, who is giving up dairying, to sell his whole herd, comprising—--75 exceptionally high-producing Jersey cows 14 selected 2-year heifers r.w.b. (marked) 20 selected ylg. heifers (marked) 4 ped. Jersey bulls (very high B.F. backing) 1 Can. Berk, boar, 1 sow 4-cow milking plant, 12 cans, spring dray, S.Q. 7-a-side discs, sundries NOTE : We have personally inspected the above herd, which consists of 15 second, 8 third, 8 fourth, 11 fifth, 10 sixth calvers, 23 matured cows. Mr. Turner has been milking for 20 years, and has been individually testing with the Herd Testing Association for 11 years. Three years ago his returns from 78 cows, averaging 4291 b. 8.F., placed him second m large herds in N.Z. with the Herd Testing Association. Every cow has been bred by the vendor, and each animal will be sold with a production card. The progeny from each cow is eligible for marking. The cows start calving from the middle of July. The herd average for the past five years works out at 3941 b. B.F. This is one of the very rare occasions when a herd of this description is placed in the market for unreserved sale, and we advise anyone in search of selected dairy stock to attend this fixture.
