GOODS RECEIVED FROM CHILD
Married Woman Convicted "This is a particularly sad ease.” said the magistrate, Mr. J. 11. Luxford, when a married woman appeared before him in the Magistrate’s Court. Wellington, yesterday on a number of charges of receiving stolen goods. She was stated to have obtained the articles, which comprised mostly clothing. from her son, aged 111 years. Detective-Sergeant W. Kane said that the woman had a re|>eetable home ami nine children, the youngest only a month old. Her husband knew nothing about the matter. The little boy had started stealing articles from the shops and taking them home. He hud been dealt with in the Children's Court. The magistrate said that anyone knowing the full circumstances of the case could feel nothing but pity for the woman. She would be convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called on within P2 months, anil her name would be suppressed.
