W.E.A. LECTURES
Tlu: Workers' Educational Association’s programme for Wellington this week is as follows: —To-night. Madame Betts-Vincent will give her filial lecturerecital in Nimmo’s Hall, Willis Street, at 8 o’clock. Her subject will be “Some Modern British Composers.” On Monday Mr. R. J. Lockhart will speak in the W.E.A. room at. the Trades Hall at 7.45 pan., on “The World of the Small.” O.n Tuesday evening Professor J. Shelley will give his final lecture on “Art and Life,” in the lecture hall of the Dominion Museum at 8 o'clock, taking as his subject “The Theories of Art.” Lantern illustrations will be shown. On 'Thursday Mr. W. J. Scott will conduct his class in “Modern Literature,” in the W.E.A. room, Trades Hall building, at 7.4 a pan., dealing with the “Early Works of James Joyce.” Miss C. Keddell will continue her weekly lecture ou “Modern Drama" iu the Methodist schoolroom at Ngaio on Monday, at 7.45 pan., when she will speak about “Biographical Plays,” and will give extracts. The Lower Hutt class will meet ou Monday instead of Wednesday evening, and Mr. J. Cornes will give his final film talk in the borough council chambers at 7.45 o’clock on the subject of “Weaving.”
