Upper Hutt Prosecutions Stated by Constable C. F. Stewart to have passed the line of traffic from Tauherenikau races at 40 miles an hour, John Ewart, Wellington, was fined £3 with costs bv Mr. H. P. Lawry, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court, Upper Hutt, yesterday. Patrick Delaney, who drove a motorcycle without a licence, was fined 10/with costs 15/-. John Joseph Jepson, Trentham, was fined £2 with cowls for negligent driving. Constable F. J. Williams said that Jepson collided with a car driven by Alfred Edward Wyeth, Upper Hutt, on the Taita Gorge Road, near Manor Park bridge. At the time of the accident he was going too fast round a bend, and was -on the incorrect side of the centre line. Afterward Jepson’s car careered on and finished down a bank.
