Illegal Sale of Liquor at Club By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, May 7. A charge of illegally selling liquor was admitted in the Magistrate’s Court by Donald Vivian Higgins, manager of the Glendowie Country Club. Police evidence was that two constables went to the club where they saw defendant behind a bar serving liquor and receiving payment. The constables purchased liquor on three occasions. Defendant was fined £5O.
