• Dividend Maintained Dominion Special Service. -Dunedin, May 6. Donaghy’s Hope and Twine Company, Ltd., cordage and twine manufacturers, reports a net profit of £5917/4/6 for the year ended March 31, compared with £5707 for the previous year and £6197 for 1935. A sum of £3529 Was brought forward from last year and, less the interim dividend of ninepenee a share paid in October, 1936, leaves £7684 available for distribution. The directors recommend that £1958 be taken frojn.the trading account for the purpose of a final dividend of tenpence a share and £979 from investments for a dividend of five -pence a share, making, with the interim dividend of ninepenee a share previously declared and paid, a total of 10 per cent, for the year. The sum of £lOOO is to bo added to the reserve for providing benefits to employees, leaving to be carried forward a total ol £3746, against £3529 brought forward last year. The amount written off to depreciation of buildings and plant was £3194.
