Ministerial. The Hon. IV. E. Barry, Minister of Internal Affairs, will leave Wellington this morning for the Taranaki district. To-morrow morning the Minister will meet at Hawera representatives of the southern Taranaki local bodies to discuss questions relating to local government amalgamation. On Friday morning, at New Plymouth, Mr. Parry is to attend a similar conference with the local authorities of the northern part of the district. Sir Walter Carncross, Speaker of the Legislative Council, was a passenger for the South Island last night. Sir Robert A. Anderson, Invercargill, arrived at Wellington yesterday from the South Island. The Hon. Mr. Justice Kennedy arrived at Christchurch yesterday from Dunedin. The Hon. Adam Hamilton, Leader of the Opposition, left for the south last night. Yesterday he was a guest at the Wellington Rotary Chib’s luncheon. Mr. T. E. Y. Seddon, Wellington, is on "n visit to Auckland. Mr. W. J. Dyment, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mr. D. V. Donaldson arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday. Mr. R. E. Price, Conciliation Commissioner, is visiting New Plymouth. Mr. G. Lawn, a director of the Reserve Bank, arrived at Wellington yesterday from the South Island. Mr. I). Forsyth, deputy-Mayor of Port Chalmers, arrived at Wellington yesterday. Mr. A. E. Ansell, Dunedin, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday and left on his return last night. The Hon. T. F. Doyle, M.L.C., arrived at Wellington yesterday from the south and left on his return last night. Mr. Coleman Folliek, science master at Te Ante College. Hawke’s Bay, has been appointed to the staff of Wesley College, Paerata. Mr. W. R. Carey, manager of the Kaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company, was an arrival at Wellington from the south yesterday. Mr. J. L. Passmore, Dunedin, arrived at Wellington yesterday from the south, and left again by the steamer express last night. Mr. K. M. Sleight, secretary to the Minister of Industries and Commerce, returned to Wellington by the steamer express yesterday. Mr. A. O. Wilkinson, a member of the Arm of Wilkinson and Wilkinson, public accountants, Christchurch, left Wellington for the south last night. Professor R. W. Souter, professor of economics at the University of Otago, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday.
.Mr. W. A. Hislop, general manager in New Zealand for the Universal Film Manufacturing Company, arrived at Wellington yesterday from the south. Mr. A. Cameron, retired Oriental manager of the Canadian Pacific Railways, left Auckland yesterday by the Aorangl on his return to Canada after a holiday visit to New Zealand. Mr. T. 11. McCombs, M.P. for Lyttelton, is in Wellington to attend meetings of the Social Science Bureau, the Government Education Committee and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. He is to remain till the end of the week. Mr. Chas. E. Begg and Mrs. C. Begg, sen., Dunedin, left Auckland yesterday by the Aorangl on an extended visit to the United States of America, England, and the Continent. Mr. Begg will attend the Philco Radio Annual Convention in New York-
