NO CONTRIBUTION

Hospital Board and King George V Memorial Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North. April 20. While expressing appreciation of the effort being made to establish health camps as a memorial to King George V, the Palmerston North Hospital Board at its monthly meeting decided that, .while it would be prepared to give all other assistance possible, it could not make a contribution. The acting-chairman, Mr. J. A. Nash, said the board carried on by a levy made on local bodies and subsidies from the Government. If the board made a donation, it would be giving away the money of local bodies and also that from the Government. It was an awkward question.
