Union Cargo Service

The following are the movements of Union Company vessels engaged in its intercolonial cargo service: — The Gabriella left Greymouth last Friday for Sydney. She will then load at Newcastle about April 24 and completes at Sydnej’ for Napier and Gisborne.

The Kaikorai is to leave Newcastle tomorrow for Sydney to complete loading for Wellington. The Kairanga, now discharging at Auckland, is to leave there next Wednesday for Sydney. She will then load at Newcastle about April 29 for Auckland. The Kallngo, from Newcastle, Sydney, aud Edeu, is to leave Wanganui to-morrow for Greymouth to complete discharge. The Karepo, from Newcastle and Sydney, is to leave Dunedin to-morrow for Bluff to complete discharge. The Kauri is to leave Wellington to-mor-row for Greymouth to load lor Melbourne. She will then load at Adelaide early in May, completing at Edir.hburg and Melbourne tor New Plymouth, Auckland, Portland, Napier, Dunediu and Bluff. The Kekcrangu was to have left Geelong on Saturday for Auckland.

The Marama, from Wellington, is due at Sydnej’ to-day. She will load there for Auckland. Wellington and Lyttelton. The Umana, from Adelaide, Edithburg and Melbourne, is due at Auckland tomorrow, thence to Wellington, Lyttelton and Tarakohe to complete discharge. The Waikouaiti, from Newcastle, was to have left Sydney on Saturdaj’ for Bluff, Dunedin. Timaru, Lyttelton, and Oamaru. The Waitaki, from Bluff, is due at Melbourne to-day. She will leave there again on April 21 for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Wellington. The vessel is due here on April 29 and will leave again the following day for Melbourne, via Bluff. HUNTINGDON AT LONDON. Cabled advice has been received by the Federal Company that the Huntingdon reached Loudon last Friday morning. She left Port Chalmers on March 6 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal. CAPE HORN IN PORTTo continue discharge of her Pacific Coast cargo the Union Company's chartered motor-ship Cape Horn arrived in the stream at Wellington last night from Auckland aud will berth this morning at the Taranaki Street Wharf. She is to leave here again about to-morrow for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia to complete. CAMBRIDGE SAILS. Having completed her Homeward loading to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company the Federal steamer Cambridge left Wellington on Saturday for Southampton, Hook of Holland, and London. via Montevideo. HORORATA DIVERTED. The Federal Company advises that the Hororata is now due at Wellington early this morning from Tokomaru Bay, and will berth at the King’s Wharf to continue loading for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow. She will leave here again next Thursday for South Island ports to complete. PORT CHALMERS LEAVES LONDON. The Port Line has received cabled ad- ■ vice that its motor-ship Port Chalmers left London last Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru aud Bluff. She is due here on May 20. RARANGA LATER. The Shaw, Savill steamer Raranga is now due at Wellington on Wednesday from Lyttelton to complete her Homeward loading. She is to clear this port finally next Friday for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. x KUMARA SAILS. Having completed her Homeward loading. the Shaw, Savill steamer Kumara left Wellington yesterday morning for London. via Montevideo, Santos aud Rio de Janeiro. PORT BRISBANE LOADING, Front Newcastle, the Port Line steamer Port Brisbane reached Auckland on Saturday night to commence her Homeward loading. She will later complete at Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. The vessel is due here on April 25 and will clear Port Chalmers finally on May 6 for London via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. WAIANA LEAVES WALES. Cabled advice has boeu received by the Union Company that its new motor-ship Waiana left Barry, Wales, on April 14 for Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin, via Port Said, Safaga and Colombo. She will load phosphates at Safaga, aud is due at Auckland about the middle of June. JAMES COOK AKRIVES. From Newcastle, the intercolonial steamer James Cook arrived in the stream at Wellington last night and will berth this morning at the Pipitea Wharf. She is to leave here again on Wednesday' for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge, thence to Greymouth to load for Sydney. Holm and Co. are the agents. AWATEA DUE 9 A.M. TO-DAY. En route from Sydney to Wellington, the Union Company’s liner Awatea has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive off Point Halswell at 8,30 a.m. today. She will berth about 9 o’clock at No. 1 south Queen’s Wharf. The Awatea is to leave here again at 1 p.m. to-day for Auckland, thence on Wednesday to Sydney. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain J. Ritchie is now in command of the Kai ingo. relieving Captain C. W. Ostenfeld, who has gone to Sydney on holiday leave. Captain G. B. Morgan is now in command of the Rangatira, relieving Captain B. B. Irwin, who is on holidays at Christchurch. Captain H. S. Collier has joined the Wainui, relieving Captain T. S. Mac Nicol, who is on holidays in Christchurch. Mr. F. W. Young is now chief offlcer'of the Aorangl, relieving Mr. R. N. Turner for holidays. Captain S. Hewitt has taken command of the Kekerangti. . relieving Captain M. MacKenzie for holidays., Mr. C. T Robb has joined the Tamahine as chief officer, relieving Mr. W. H. Millward for holidays. Mr. A. W. Pert is now chief officer of the Kalingo. Mr. A. P.
