Borax is invaluable in the home. To improve the colour of clothes that are being washed, add 2oz. of borax to a bath of water. The question of whether to wear a girdle and brassiere or an all-in-one foundation, worries many women over forty. Actually, it all depends on the occasion. The boned girdle, although ideal for golf, when freedom is essential at the waist, is not ideal under fitting afternoon frocks. Above is a practical garment for the matron on “semi” occasions.
