Y.M.C.A. AUXILIARY
Women Entertained By Mrs. J. W. Mason The Wellington members of the Wellington Y.M.C.A. auxiliary were entertained by Mrs. .1. W. Mason at ber home, ■Waterloo Road. Lower Hutt, recently. The weather was perfect, and there were about 70 women present. The gathering took the form of a “bring and buy” afternoon, and the result from a financial point of view was most satisfactory. The members were welcomed by the four hostesses, Mesdame© .1 IV’. Mason, R. H. Nimmo, E- P. Rishwor’th and G. R. Millward. The drawing-room, dining-room, hall and comfortable sunporch were thrown open to the visitors. Mesdames Millward and R. Janson contributed vocal solos, and Mrs. Lowe and Miss Tlheo Smith recited. Miss Iris Mason accompanied the. singers. A “treasure hunt” was held in the garden, the “treasure” being discovered by Mrs. A. E. IV. Linniberg. The stall did excellent trade, and a home-made;afternoon tea was served. Mrs. L. J. Linniberg, president of the auxiliary, thanked the hostesses for the very enjoyable afternoon, and also those who had provided the programme.
