Mrs Leo O’Donnell and her mother, Mrs. Whittington, Canberra, are visiting Wellington and are staying at Caulfield House. Mrs. Batchelor, Nelson, who has been touring the North and South Islands for the past six weeks, is staying with Miss Wise, The Terrace, Wellington. Returned to Wellington Mrs. John Duncan, Heretaunga, who has been visiting Mrs. B. H. .Edkins, Kerikeri, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. Arthur Handing and her small daughter, Adams Terrace, Wellington, have returned home after a visit to Mrs. George Sanford, Christchurch. Mrs. H. Catanach, Miramar, who has been spending a three-weeks holiday in the North Island, has returned home. On Holiday Mrs. P. B. Cameron, Wellington, is on a visit to the South Island. Miss L. M. Sawtell is a Wellington visitor to Christchurch. Miss Beverley Black, Wellington, is .visiting Christchurch as the guest of Miss Joan Evans, Papanui. Miss Peggy Porter, Kelburn, will leave to-night for a holiday in Otago and Southland. Miss Wilmot Horton is visiting Blenheim,’where she is the guest of Mrs. S. T. Critchley. Mrs. C. M. Muskett, Auckland, who is visiting Masterton, will leave shortly for Wellington. Mrs. Tristram Wilcox, Christchurch, who has been the guest of Mrs. T. C. Hanna, Seatoun, left Wellington last night by the Wanganell,a for Sydney. Mr. Wilcox, who arrived, from Christchurch yesterday morning, accompanied her. Mrs. George Hutchinson, Wisconsin, United States, who has been paying a round of visits to friends and relations in New Zealand, left by the Wanganella last night for Melbourne, where she will stay with her son, Mr. Frank Hutchinson, returning at a later date to Wellington. Gone Abroad Miss Alison Kell, Auckland, left Wellington yesterday by the Wanganella -for. Sydney. Miss Olive Scott, Christchurch, came to Wellington to join -the Wanganella for Sydney, yesterday. Mrs. Edgar Galpin and Miss K. Galpin, Marton, left for Sydney by the Wanganella last night to spend a few weeks in Australia. Mr. and Mrs. Somerset Playne, who have been visiting the latter’s mother, Mrs. Standidge, Waipawa, left by the Wanganella yesterday to connect with the Orford, en. route to England. Miss Standidge came to Wellington with them. Going Abroad Miss Betty Waters left Wellington by the Wanganella yesterday for Sydney. 6 Mrs. B. R. Furkert, Hataitai, will leave shortly to join her sister, Miss Josephine Power Collins, who Is staying At Suva, Fiji. They will return together in a month’s time.
