A beautiful wreath of laurel leaves and poppies from Sir lan Hamilton, who commanded the New Zealand forces on Gallipoli, arrived at Wellington from London recently. It will be placed on the Citizens’ War Memorial during the Anzac Day services. The wreath, which was addressed to the secretary of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, is about three feet in diameter and on it is a card signed by Sir lan Hamilton: “In affectionate remembrance of my New Zealand comrades who fell during or after the most wonderful adventure of modern times.”
