TWELVE-SIDED COIN

New Threepenny Pieces in Britain Issued (British Official Wireless.) (Received April 15. 5 p.m.) Rugby, April 14. A limited supply of the new 12-sided George VI threepenny pieces became available at the banks to-day. This 12sided coin is the first of its kind to be issued in Britain. The obverse side bears the King's head with the inscription and the reverse side carries a representation of thrift. The next of the new coins to be issued will be sixpences and florins. They will be issued before the Coronation.
