Johnsonville Sale At the Johnsonville stock sale on Wednesday Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams Ltd. offered an average yarding of all classes of cattle, a small yarding of wethers and ewes and a large yarding of lambs. The bullcrcks comprised chiefly prime medium to heavyweight cattle, with a few pens of light and unfinished 6'orte. W ell-finir?hed cattie met with a ready sale at late rates, but plain and lightweights were hard to sell. The cows and heifers yarded were of good quality and met with keen competition, prices for heavy cows and good quality heifers being firm on late rates, unfinished easier by 5/- a head. Only a few calves ex dairy came forward, and these sold readily. On account of the short yarding of ‘wethers prices were firmer by 1/- to 1/6 a head.
