MISTAKE OF A LION
Ate Canvas Meat Bags (Received March 31, 8.10 p.m.) Charlotte (North Carolina). March 30. A circus lion, aged seven years, in her keeper’s absence ate her meat packed in canvas bags. An emergency operation was performed and the canvas removed from the stomach of the lion, which is expected to recover.
