MOTOR LICENCE FEES
Exemption of Special Vehicles Regulations dealing with the exemption of special types of motor vehicles from the payment of annual licence fees under the Motor Vehicles Act,. 1924, were issued by the Government last night as a supplement to the Gazette. The new regulations' come into force to-day.
Tlie exemptions are as follows Any motor vehicle or trailer designed and used exclusively or principally for use in agricultural operations, inclusive of huts, galleys and similar vehicles used in such operations. Any motor vehicle or trailer designed and used exclusively for driving or carrying well-boring apparatus, saw bench apparatus, cranes, air compressor plants, extension ladders, scoops, trench diggers, excavators, log haulers. Provision is made in a second schedule for the exemption of any agricultural tractor as defined by section 2 of the Motor-spirits Taxation Amendment Act, 1928, and any motor vehicle designed and used exclusively for the construction or maintenance of roads and streets, and which upon the owner’s application lias been approved by the Minister of Transport.
