YESTERDAY’S WEATHER

Wellington.— There was a trace of rain about 9.45 a.m.; otherwise the weather was fair, although a strong, squally north-westerly blew all day. The, mini-mum-temperature on Tuesday night was oG.&leg., and the maximum yesterday 64.5 deg. At 3.30 p.m. the temperature was 62.0 deg. Rainfall at “The Dominion” building for 24 hours ended 11 p.m., .Olin. Total for the month, 2.51 in.; for the year, 9.79 in. Palmerston North. — Pine and sunny with a moderate westerly wind. Masterton. — Beautifully sunny iu the morning, but overcast iu the afternoon. Warm temperature. No wind., Wanganui: Dull and cloudy, occasional rain showers, light westerly breeze. Waipukurau.—A perfect summer’s day with bright sunshine. Maximum temperature 74deg. Napier and Hastings.—A glorious day, cloudless, with a barely perceptible easterly breeze. Temperatures hot. Auckland Fine and sunny, with light and variable winds from the west. Conditions were warm. The barometer was steady at 30.20 in. Christchurch.— Fine and sunny in the morning with a light north-east breeze. The wind changed to north-west in the afternoon and the sky clouded. Ths barometer, after falling slowly all day, registered 29.78 in. at 5 p.m. Dunedin. — There was a short period of sunshine this morning, but the sky was overcast, for the greater part of the day. The maximum temperature was GGdeg., and the barometer wns steady at about 29.77 in.
