Colours This Year Black and White WELLINGTON FROM 1001 The motor registration branch of the Post and Telegraph Department will begin the process of annual registration of motor vehicles on May 1, and this must be completed by the end ot' that month. Registration, as usual, is accompanied by a replacement of the number plates displayed on vehicles, and this year's colours will be bind; ground with white numbers, figures of the hundreds being separated from the from the thousands by a small symbol. In the allocation of numbers Wellington is being given the lowest series, the numbers rising In geographical order northward to Auckland with its maximum of 117.500, and then starting from Invercargill and rising in the northern districts of the South Island, reaching the highest numbers on the West Coast.
