Sir, —I respectfully suggest to your correspondent under the above heading that he be so good as to show 'to what extent the mechanical equipment at the ports in Australia anil New Zealand named by him is superior to the very extensive and modern appliances provided for the expeditious handling of cargo at the port of Wellington.
It would be interesting to know this in order to establish his claim to be “a competent observer. —1 am, etc., ACCURACY. Wellington, March 30.
