BRITISH EXPERIMENT
Engine For Stratosphere Flights London. March 26. The ‘‘Daily Telegraph” says that Britain is experimenting with a liquidcooled engine specially designed for stratosphere flights. It will be installed in a sister-fillip to Squadron Leader F. R. D. Swain's monoplane in an effort to raise the height record above 50.000 feet.
However, there is an object much more serious Ilian record-breaking. High flying offers advantages for commercial and military flying, chiefly (hat the approach of the machine is iliflieult Io see or hear.
