FOR WIVES AND CHILDREN

The wived and children of relief workers wore entertained to afternoon tea at the Trades Hall on Saturday afternoon. A punch ami judy show provided endless delight for the children, and Hazel Martin's pupils gave an exhibition of dancing which was thoroughly enjoyed. There were more than 300 guests, and the afternoon passed pleasantly and all too quickly. The committee comprised Messrs. M. Oatham, L. Walden, Sullivan. Jefferies, Richards, Jemason, Mitchell, Limber. Mr. Kempton provided the punch and judy show. The committee thanks those who helped with donations and items. Ju honour of her- birthday Lady Curncross was presented with a set of afternoon tea china from members of the El I ham Croquet Chib on Wednesday. The presentation was made by the president; Mrs. H. Gtibb. who expressed the members' good wishes.
