ABERHART BEATEN IN HOUSE
Government May Resign (Received March 26, 6.30 p.m.) Edmonton, March 25. Beaten on a motion for the adjournment by 27 votes to 25, the Premier, Mr. W. Aberhart, gave notice of the closure of the Budget debate, which will be resumed on Monday. A Government spokesman declares that if the Budget is defeated the Government will resign. Twenty-one insurgents demand the immediate launching of a definite plan of social credit on the Douglas lines.
