Wellington. — Warm and pleasant, though cloudy, weather prevailed at Wellington. There was a fresh northwesterly on Thursday, but yesterday this decreased, and at midday changed to a light south-easterly. Maximum temperature yesterday 69deg.; at 3 p.m. yesterday, oS.Sdeg. Rainfall at ‘'The Dominion” building for 48 hours ended midnight,nil. Total for the month. 2.4 in.; for the year. 9.6 Sin. Palmerston North.— Warm, with bright sunshine and a very light south to south-west breeze. Masterton.—Beautifully tine and hot summer day, with almost complete absence of wind. Wanganui.—Fine and sunny; practically no wind. Auckland.—Rain fell this morning and there was a fresh easterly wind. The weather cleared for a time in the afternoon, but the sky was still overcast and drizzling rain began to fall. Christchurch.— Overcast, but warm, with tlie wind from the south-west. Dunedin.— Fine and warm, with a very slight breeze from the north-east. 'Die maximum temperature was 66deg. In the afternoon the barometer rose sharply to SOJMin.
