ESPERANTO CLUB MEETING
Tlie weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held in tlie clubroom, Grey Street, Mr. Bertram Potts presid- ' ing. It was reported that tlie club had sent otlieiiil greetings to Esperanto clubs in China, Bulgaria. Judo-China and Italy. CorresiHMidonce was received from England, Scotland, France, Germany. Spain, the Netherlands, Boland, I’ersia, .Inpan and Borneo. It was arranged that, tlie club would meet as usual on Easter Monday. After the enrolment of new members and the formation of a special class for beginners, general tuition proeeedeil for an hour under the direction of experienced teachers.
Instead of Hie customary programme n modern and old-lime dunce was held, during which supper was served. The orchestra consisted ol Mr. J. MeLiiughliin (pinnol, Mr. 1.1. Wnlslie (violin) and Mr. IL AV. Thoms (guitar). Extras were played b.v Mr. ,1. AV. O'Neill and Mr. T. Hindle. Mr. K. Bnilev was master of ceremonies. The following evenings will tie held in tlie near future:—April 5, Mr. Bertram I’otts, witli a special <yist, in an original melodrama; April 12, Mr. Vermin .1. Leek: April 19. Mr. 1). Kirk: Mtiv 3, Mr. G. Blong; and May 10, Mr. It. 'll. Saunders. During I' l1 ’ evening congratulations were conveyed to tlie recently-formed Lower Hutt Esperanto Club.
