Cup Candidate Wins Convincingly By Telegraph.— Press .'.ssu.—Copyright. (Received March 24. 9.5 p.m.) Sydney. .March 21. At the Victoria Park races the Sydney Cup candidate El Scnorita, 9.0. convincingly won the Victoria Park Handicap from Latharua. 8.2. Linkb-t was unplaced. El Senorita has 7.6 in the cup. Yerrapie won the second division of the Flying Handicap, while Jamieson's other candidates, Glenoraboy and Glenorapark 111, were unplaced respectively in the divisions of the Novice Juvenile events.
RICEARTON NOTES Dominion Special Service. Christchurch, March 24. Silver Ring is due to arrive at Riceurton to-morrow. He is stated to have gone on the right way since racing at Trentham and his presence at. next week's meeting will add much interest to the racing. He will have his usual pilot, A. E. Ellis. Polydora gave another clean and fast display over four brush hurdles to-day. Manetho was given a similar task, and shaped in a promising manner. Palmary, Epris and Almira arrived to-day in charge of F. C. Pratt, Orari. A. E. Ellis, A. Messervy. A. Russell and 11. Hibberd will be riding at Greymouth on Saturday and will be at Ricearton on Monday. Silver Ring. Wild Chase ami Night Dress have been nominated for the Manawatu meeting next month, and Haughty Winner is to go north to contest the Sires’ Produce Stakes.
