CHILDREN AND ROAD CROSSINGS

Abuse of Privileges Reported By Telegraph — Press Association. Hamilton, March 23. The fact that children were taking advantage of special road crossings where ears were required to give way to pedestrians was pointed out at the monthly meeting of the advisory board of the Hamilton branch of the Automobile Association. It was stated that some children were deliberately walking backward and forward across the parallel lines and holding up motorists. Mr. F. Best reported one case where lie had observed children crossing the roadway on all fours. In many cases crossings were being disregarded altogether.
