WELLINGTON EAST OLD GIRLS
A credit balance of £3l/0/4 is shown in the annual report of the Wellington East Girls’ College Old Girls’ Association to be presented at the annual meeting to-night. Various activities during tlie past year are set out details of the amounts raised are given. Mention is made of Esme Reddell and Margaret AVlison having been chosen to represent New Zealand in Australia at basketball during tbe coming season. Tbe membership of the association now numbers 187. The report concludes with thanks to Miss Batham. tbe retiring principal, “for all the very hard work and valuable time that she has given to the Old Girls’ Association during the time she has been principal of the college. We cannot express too strongly enough our deep regret at having to lose her. AVhenever we have wanted advice Miss Batham has always been at hand to give it and our appreciation of what she has done for us is very great indeed.”
