SELASSIE’S NOTE
Barbarity in Addis Ababa (Received .March 18. 7.55 p.m.) London, March 17. The former Emperor of Abyssinia, Haile Selassie, has sent a Note to the League of Nations denouncing the barbarity in Addis Ababa and its neighbourhood in February. He cites the execution of lias Desta and other chiefs captured on the battlefield, the slaughter of thousands during the three days following the attempt on Marshal Graziani’s life, and systematic massacres of Ethiopians.
