Fair to cloudy, with rain developing. Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the .Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. to-day: The intense anti-cyclone which has been covering New Zealand for the past few days is now moving eastward, and pressure is falling gradually under t c influence of a depression advancing across the Tasman Sea. in. North-easterly Io northerly winds; light to moderate generally, but gradua j freshening. . r, , , ♦ Seas rather rough to rough north of East Cape; elsewhere in New Zealand waters slight to moderate, but later rising about Cook and Foveaux Straits. Freshening northerly winds and rising seas in the eastern lasman bea. Weather fair to cloudy at first, in most districts, but unsettled conditions and lam developing shortly in western areas from Taranaki southward, and extending Io most parts of the country within Ihe next 24 to 3G hours. temperatures warm.
