ON PARADE AND OFF 2nd Field Ambulance Camp (By Liaison.) Luder the command of Lt.-Col F. M. Spencer, E.D., N.Z.M.C., and favoured with excellent weather, the annual eamp of the 2nd Field Ambulance, N.Z.M.C., was held at Dannevirke Racecourse from February 27 to March 6. 1931. Although the attendance was only about 60 per cent, of strength- the camp was one of the most successful in recent years. Wilson, MC.. N.Z.M.C.. A.D.M.S.. Central Command. paid a visit to the camp on Thursday. March 4. Major A. E. Conway. N.Z.8.C., was present during the full period of the camp, and Col. I. T. Standish, C.M.G., D. 5.0., R.N.Z.A., inspected the unit on Friday. March 5. United Services Club.

An informal reception was held at the club to farewell the officers of the Coronation contingent on Monday, March 8. at 8.30 p.m. The Wellington Artillery Mess co-operated with the club in the reception. and all members of the mess, whether members of the club or not, were invited to attend and give their two representatives, Captain Tennent and Lieutenant Sweetzer, a good send-off. The annual general meeting of the club will probably be held during the week preceding Easter, but the exact date is not yet fixed.
