} Feilding Sale Dominion Special Service. Feilding, March 12. The demand for store sheep eased at the Feilding stock sale to-day, when twotooths were quoted at prices ranging from 27/- to 44/6. but bidding was slow and the sale dragged. The entry of aged sheep was of inferior quality and only the pick of them was sought. Store lambs scarcely maintained recent values. Cattle eased except for fat ex-dairy sorts, which' improved slightly. There was a good demand for the entry of springing heifers,which sold to good competition. Quotations are as follows:— ‘ Store sheep: 2-tooths, 27/6 to 44/6; 4-year ewes. 22/1 to 29/6: 5-year do., 20/2 to 27/-; 4. 6-tooth and 4-year do., 24/6 to 31/3; 4 and 5-year ewes, 21/9 to 26/1; 6-tooth to 6-vear. 23/6; aged. 16/10 to 19/1 ; s.m„ 12/3 to 18/-: R.B. Romney 4-tooth ewes, 42/6;. 4-tooth wethers, 26/6; f.w. lambs, 14/-;-S.D. shorn lambs, 19/-. Fat sheep: Ewes, 17/6 to 18/8; S.D., 21/-: wethers, 20/- to 27/5; b.f.. 22/1 to 27/5; lambs. 23/8 to 29/-. Fat cattle: Heifers. £4/17/6 to £6/5/-; cows, £3/15/- to £7/15/-; vealers, £2 11/-; steers, £5/17/6. Store cattle: Cows, £l/12/6 to £3/17/6: heifers. £2/17/-: yearling do., £2/4/- to £3; steers, £2/6/. Station cattle: Steers, £5/7/6 to £5/15/-; P.A. cows. £4/5/-; R.P. heifers, £4/7/-; 2-year heifers, £3/17/6 to £5. . Dairy cattle: Springing heifers, £6; 2nd calvers. £5/15/-; cows. £3/2/6 to £5/5/-. Poultry: Hens. 1/3 to 2/6; pullets, 7/9; small, 4/- to 4/6; cockerels,-1/9 to 2/9: ducks. 1/9 to 2/10.
Pigs: Wenners, 9/6 to 12/6; others, 4/6 to 9/-; slips!. 8/-.to 17/6; stores, 18/to 21/-; porkers, 40/-; sows and suckers, 31/-.
