MASSED BAND PARADE

A brilliant spectacle is promised at Newtown Park to-morrow afternoon when the seven bands of the Wellington association will take part in a parade. The public will be afforded the opportunity of giving a welcome to the Municipal Trainways Band, winners of the B grade championship at the recent New Zealand contest. This band will play the winning march, and the Institute Silver Band, which filled second place in the aggregate, will give an exhibition of marching. Many thousands have been delighted with previous baud displays this summer. Should inclement weather make postponement necessary, four flags will be flown at Mount Victoria signal station between 12.30 and 1.30 p.m.
