Alterations to Liner Queen Mary (British Official Wireless.) Rugby. March 2. On completion of her first voyage this year across tlie Atlantic and back the Canard White Star liner Queen Mary arrived at Southampton yesterday. in the opinion of the officers and crew, the modifications made during tlie vessel’s eight weeks’ overhaul have proved wholly successful. The commander said the ship behaved very well indeed. There had been considerably less rolling than before the alterations, and vibration had been practically eliminated. On the homeward journey the Queen Mary reached a maximum speed of 30.38 knots without pressure.
