A child of four, John Osborne. 243 Waiwetu Road. Lower Hutt, received it fractured right forearm- when he fell from a window shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday. After medical attention he was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
At the weekly practice of St. Paul’s Choir, last evening the acting-choirmaster, Mr. F. Steers, referred to the death of Mr. Robert Parker. He said that many members had known and loved the veteran musician, ami appreciated the great work he had done. As a mark of respect the choir stood in silence for a few moments.
In a quiet garden in tlie heart of Paris is the Depot des Marin’s, to which republican France has retired from public view almost all the statues of crowned heads that used to adorn the city’s boulevards and squares.
